  • New video of the Gramma dejongi
    BBox Aquarium (Japan) has posted a video of this recently described, ultra-rare, ultra-beautiful basslet. The video is the clearest one we’ve seen yet. In 2010, Gramma dejongi was discovered on Cuba’s reefs. Due to the US embargo of Cuba, American aquarists are unlikely to see this species for sale in the States anytime soon.
  • Rare species of seahorse found in the River Thames, London
    A routine fisheries survey of the River Thames by the the UK’s Environment Agency Friday uncovered evidence of a breeding population of seahorses farther up the River Thames than previously documented.
